ACM Presents: Our Country is a two-hour television special on CBS initiated by the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM). More than 20 country artists joined the program, performing from the comforts of their homes.

Since the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards was supposed to happen on Sunday evening, the academy decided to hold a show that can entertain viewers at homes. Gayle King hosted the television special, emphasizing that performances were held while practicing social distancing.

“There's a lot of uncertainty about how long this will last, but one thing we do know is the healing power of music,” King said. “And nobody -- I mean nobody -- is better at nursing that power than country music artists."

Miranda Lambert performed her own rendition of "Bluebird" from her front porch in Tennessee.

She said that people are all in this fight against COVID-19, even though everyone is physically apart. She encourage viewers to find comfort in music as a way to get through.
"Part of her recently released Wildcard album, the uplifting track normally features a windblown-Western feel, but took on the intimate feel of a lullaby on Lambert’s porch — all comfort and soothing confidence," Chris Parton wrote in his piece for Sounds Like Nashville.
Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani was joined by Blake Shelton in front of a campfire on Shelton's house in Oklahoma.

"We happen to be in Oklahoma, hiding away from everybody, Doing what we're supposed to do," Shelton said. "And we're also doing what I think everybody else must be doing, which is drinking all day."

Stefani laughed and moved a glass far from the camera's view. "Not me! What are you talking about?" she said. "Oh, no, just me," Shelton said.

Brad Paisley, seated on his truck bed, plucked his acoustic guitar and sang “Mud On the Tires.” He pulled up Rucker on FaceTime, and they had a duet of “Wagon Wheel.” Rucker performed on his front porch in Charleston, S.C.
