The most popular Google Doodle games are back. Search engine giant Google announced the comeback of its Doodle series to help people cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

With the most popular Google Doodle games, users can experience the top interactive Google Doodle games of the past. The popular 'Coding' game from 2017 is the first Google Doodle game available. Google developed "Coding" to celebrate 50 years of Kids Coding.

The Google Doodle games come with the tagline "Stay and Play at Home" to encourage people to stay inside their homes as an effort to help minimize the spread of coronavirus.

"As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, people and families everywhere are spending more time at home. In light of this, we're launching a throwback Doodle series looking back at some of our popular interactive Google Doodle games!" said Google in a public post.

Featuring a bunny, "Coding" aims to collect all the carrots in a level. The players use the bunny by applying simple program codes. Users will have to place these codes in a program code tray. Google developed the game to stir interest in coding among children.

There are more Doodle games that Google is planning to bring back. For now, the screen says "Coming Soon."

Meanwhile, there are 2,994,958 cases of coronavirus worldwide. Data also shows that 206,997 patients died from the virus while 878,923 people recovered from the disease.

Netflix

Like Google, Netflix came up with Netflix Party, which allows friends to watch movies together while social distancing.

Through Netflix Party, people with Netflix subscription can watch films virtually at the same time. The extension features a chat room, where users can send messages and share reactions as they watch the film.

Netflix has garnered 16 million new subscriptions for the first three months of 2020 as global lockdowns keep people at home.

“Netflix is and will continue to be the media company least impacted by Covid-19. Their business is a near perfect fit to a population that is suddenly housebound," said Eric Haggstrom, an analyst for eMarketer.

Netflix predicts that an additional 7.5 million subscribers in the three months to the end of June. However, it warned investors that as governments lift lockdowns globally, viewers and growth would decline.

“Given the uncertainty on home confinement timing this is mostly guesswork," the company states.

Quibi

Joining Google and Netflix is Quibi.

On April 6, the video streaming app Quibi launched. The app streams video clips 10 minutes or shorter while movies are broken into segments.

The service has a feature called Turnstile. This allows the audience to keep the image full-screen, whether they hold their phone in landscape or portrait mode.

Quibi reached reached 1.7 million downloads, according to Quibi CEO Meg Whitman.

Lockdowns

Based on the guidelines released by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), social distancing refers to the conscious effort of a person to avoid “congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible.”

Meanwhile, a study published in medical journal The Lancet suggests that coronavirus lockdowns must not be completely lifted worldwide until a vaccine for the disease has been developed.
