Draper James, the clothing brand run by Reese Witherspoon, is showing it s appreciation to teachers in the United States amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Draper James will give away free dresses to teachers across the country to show its gratitude for the extra work they do amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“These past few weeks have shown me so much about humanity. I’m an eternal optimist, so I always look for the bright side of things. And I have been so encouraged by the ways people are really showing up for each other. Particularly the teachers," the Oscar-winning actress said in a statement.

“During quarantine, teachers are broadcasting lessons from their own homes and figuring out new remote-learning technology and platforms on the fly, all while continuing to educate and connect with our kids," she said.

"Advocating for the children of the world is no easy task, so I wanted to show teachers a little extra love right now.”

To receive the free dresses from Draper James, teachers can fill out a form with their contact details and a photo of their school ID beginning Thursday until this Sunday, April 5 at 11:59 PM EST, based on the news release.

Qualified teachers can expect an email on April 7 with details on how they can get their free dress.

The costs of dresses displayed on the Draper James website start at a $78 price point. The company did not specify which styles would be sent to teachers.

Witherspoon's gesture is the latest from the fashion and beauty industry. Many other brands are stepping up to show their gratitude to essential workers during the pandemic. Meanwhile, medical workers have been receiving everything from free shoes to wedding dresses.

AllBirds made a donation of $500,000 worth of their wool runner shoes to medical workers. Accoridng to the company, they were "completely blown away" with the amount of requests and response to the giveaway. AllBirds also launched a buy one, give one option that allows customers to chip in some or all of the cost for a second pair of shoes for health workers.

Brooks, a maker of running shoes, will send 10,000 pairs of free shoes to health care workers throughout the country. Individuals serving on the front lines can check out their website and give their mail address, employer, and shoe size. After the submission, Brooks will then ship a free pair of running shoes to them.

The stylish scrubs company Figs will give away 30,000 sets to frontliners and medical workers in the United States over the next two months.

"Words will never express our gratitude for you. For your service, your courage, your humanity and your bravery," the company said in their note for medical professionals.

Crocs launched a program that will provide one free pair of shoes to every health care worker who is serving at the front lines in the U.S. during the coronavirus pandemic.

Croc's "A Free Pair for Healthcare" program allows doctors, nurses and other medical employees to pick one free pair of Crocs Classic Clogs or Crocs At Work styles. The shoes usually range in price from $39.99 to $59.99.
